1930’s Wedding Gown Attracts Vampires Thursday, Sep 6 2012

A gown to sink your teeth into…

Here we have another gorgeous 1930’s vintage wedding gown. You can tell the era by the hip hugging mermaid like skirt. A nice deep v-neck with ruffle sleeves adds a simple touch of elegance to make you feel like a Hollywood bride. No way to tell if this is her husband or a vampire in the photo, but vintage gowns are sure to attract even the most soulless of men. 🙂

Satin Dreams Saturday, Jun 16 2012

This dress is a 1940’s design made entirely of satin. The floral design adds texture to this gown, and the 3/4 length sleeves was very popular in the day. Gown found on eBay.

Simply Chiffon Wednesday, Jun 6 2012

This wedding dress is from the 1940’s. It is made of chiffon and silk ribbon. I was drawn to this dress from the draping sleeves which is so forties. Found this on eBay.

Vintage Parasol Friday, May 25 2012

Why not have a vintage parasol at your wedding. Perfect way to keep cool and chic during a summer wedding outdoors. Now you can still get married at the beach, and not get sunburned!

A few finds for your wedding….

Turquoise vintage lace parasol

Pink lace vintage umbrella

Hand painted vintage umbrella

All of these were tracked down on an ebay auction.

Parasols could be used for any occasion. So purchasing one is an awesome idea, but if you only want one for that special day. I really like Bella Umbrella which rents out vintage and elegant umbrellas for your wedding date.

Happy Flapper Friday everyone!

I Was Blown Away By This Photo

Such a cute shot of a vintage wedding with the bride and groom literally swept up by the wind of it all. That wedding was a breeze. I also love this gown that fits so nicely formfitting and then has a ridiculously full train and veil.

1930’s Rayon & Silk Bridal Gown Wednesday, May 16 2012

1930's Rayon & Silk Bridal Gown

Here’s a photo of a gorgeous vintage 30’s wedding dress made of silk and rayon. Very common in this era to have rayon blends, as it was fairly new to the mainstream fashions. I really enjoy the decor on the bodice that wraps around and continues on the train.
